To ensure Canvas works smoothly and your progress is saved correctly, follow these tips:

Use Google Chrome in Incognito Mode
Canvas works best on the latest version of Google Chrome. For best results, use an incognito window to avoid browser extensions or cached data interfering with the course.
- To open an incognito window in Chrome: press Ctrl+Shift+N (Windows) or Command+Shift+N (Mac).

Clear your browser’s cookies and cache
This helps reset any saved data that may interfere with Canvas functionality.

If using Safari
Make sure “Prevent Cross-Site Tracking” is enabled. Go to:
Settings > Safari > Privacy & Security > Toggle “Prevent Cross-Site Tracking” on.
Open Using Incognito Mode
- Click the three dots in the top-right corner.
- Select New Incognito Window.
Open Private Window
- Click the hamburger menu (≡) in the top-right corner.
- Select New Private Window.
Open Private Window
- In the top menu, click File > New Private Window
Note: The address bar turns dark and shows “Private Browsing Enabled.”

- Select Site settings
- Find Pop-ups and redirects and set to Allow
Enable Pop-Ups
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security
- Click Exceptions… next to Block pop-up windows
- Type wccnet.instructure.com and click Allow > Save Changes
Enable Pop-Ups
- Go to Safari > Settings > Websites
- Find wccnet.instructure.com in the list
- Set the dropdown next to it to Allow
Note: If it’s not listed, visit the site first, then return to this menu.
Enable (ALLOW) Prevent Cross-Site Tracking
- Go to Safari > Settings > Privacy
- Toggle “Prevent cross-site tracking” off
